Bracelet and watch display stand I fabricated from a vintage croquet mallet found on Cape Cod.

"Jingle stars" made from vintage folding rulers, bottle brush trees, and jingle bells.  These remind me of Dad, who was a fabulous woodworker.

Some of my recent upcycled vintage items include a battery-operated clock made from an actual Monopoly game board, complete with house and hotel tokens to mark the hours.

Some art, some craft

I make stuff.  Some art, some craft.  Along my creative path, I've found a new love - repurposing vintage things that might otherwise end up in a landfill.  I was also brought up as a "cheap Yankee." Ever hear "use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without"?  That was my dad's creed, so reusing instead of buying new hits home.

Confession:  I collect stuff. (Got that from Mom.)  The vintage "smalls" I've hoarded (ahem) acquired from dusty shelves and old trunks in New England's antique stores, flea markets and estate sales are just begging to be made into renewed, whimsical, funky items. I've created an exclusive collection of found object home decor, jewelry, and accessories to share my fascination with recycling, reinventing and repurposing with you. These treasures, plus vintage materials to make your own, are available at my Etsy shop, FoxonRiverRecreative.  Or visit my booth at a show and see these lovelies in person!  Check out my Vintage and Gift Show page.
